We will take reasonable care in ensuring that our website is free from viruses or other dangerous content, however cannot guarantee that use of this website will not cause damage to your computer or other devices. It is your responsibility to make sure that you have the proper equipment and anti-virus software to use this website safely.

Online shopping

When placing information onto our website, we will take reasonable care in ensuring that all details, prices, product images and descriptions displayed are correct at the time. While we have made every attempt to show textures, appearances and colours of our products as accurately as possible, what you see will vary depending on your monitor and computer equipment.

Orders

We reserve the right to accept or reject an order for any reason due to unavailability of product; an error in the price, image or the product description; or error in your order.

Credit Card use and Authorisation

You understand that your content (not including credit card information), may be transferred unencrypted and involve (a) transmissions over various networks; and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices. Credit card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks.

All orders are subject to pre-authorisation checks to ensure sufficient funds are available and to confirm the validity of the payment method.

Variation of products and price

The Society may vary the prices on this website at any time, and prices are subject to change until you have paid for the products in full.

Delivery

We will be using Australia Post and Australia Post Partners for all of our shipping needs. All orders will be shipped from our Melbourne Warehouse within one to two business days. Delivery lead time will vary depending on your location.

Please note that some parcels may require a signature upon delivery. If there's no authorised person at the delivery address to sign for the parcel, then the delivery driver will leave a card and the parcel will be returned to the nearest collection agency/center.

In most cases orders will be trackable via a unique tracking number that will be emailed to you when your order has been shipped. Some remote countries/locations do not allow parcel tracking capabilities.

We will make every attempt to deliver goods within normal timeframes however please beware that delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances or factors that are beyond our control.

GST (Deliveries within Australia)

All orders where delivery is within Australia include goods and services tax (GST)

Customs and Duty Charges

International orders may be subject to local charges such as import taxes, duties, tariffs, customs clearance etc. Any customs or import duties and associated fees are charged once the parcel reaches its destination country. These charges must be paid by the recipient of the parcel. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. The Society cannot be held responsible for any additional charges on your order, nor can we accept a return of the order in this case. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so please contact your local customs office for further information. If you refuse to pay these charges your parcel may be abandoned, and The Society will not be held responsible for any loss of funds as a result of this occurrence.

Returns

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase (placement of order and order confirmation), unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

 

Returns will not be accepted:

  1. if an item is not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
  2. any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
  3. items that were on sale at time of purchase

 

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.

For security and peace of mind, we strongly suggest insured registered post as The Society is not liable for lost return parcels.

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card within a certain number of days.

Our supply partner Southern Colour (Vic) Pty Ltd ACN 099 758 791 is responsible for processing returns and refunds for the APS Shop. Please direct all requests for returns, refunds and chargebacks to: info@shop.psychology.org.au

Payment

All orders are calculated in AUS Dollars (AUD). You must pay for your products purchased on this website at the time of placing an order.

We only accept payment by MasterCard and Visa for payments made directly through the site. If using PayPal you are subject to their payment terms and conditions.

We will always act to protect the details of your payment and purchase however in the absence of negligence, The Society will not be responsible for any loss or damage that you may suffer if a third party acquires unauthorised access to data that you have provided to us when ordering from our website.

Our servers will help secure your personal information with up-to-date firewalls and encryption techniques during the ordering and purchase process.

Damaged products

The Society will endeavor to pack and ship your order using suitable transport services. The Society will not accept responsibility for products damaged during transit.

Cancelling an order

You can cancel your online order provided that it has not been dispatched.

Please contact us by emailing info@shop.psychology.org.au.

We will attempt to cancel your order without delay however occasionally it may not be possible to stop an order from being dispatched.

Password and account security

It is your responsibility in maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account and all activities that take place under your password or account. If you will be using a shared computer, ensure that you logout of your account at the end of each session.

If you believe that there has been a security breach or misuse of your password or account, please let us know immediately.

The Society will not be liable for any loss or damage that may occur as a result of your failure to comply with this clause.

Website changes

We may change or update this website and the terms and conditions at any time by giving you notice as outlined below. Your use of this website after notice will constitute your deemed acceptance of such changes.

Website unavailability

We will not accept responsibility if this site is unavailable to you as a result of computer downtime, malfunction or other factor/s beyond our control.

Historical Information

This site may contain certain historical information. Historical information, necessarily, is not current and is provided for your reference only. We reserve the right to modify the contents of this site at any time, but we have no obligation to update any information on our site. You agree that it is your responsibility to monitor changes to our site.

Correction of errors

Occasionally there may be content on this website that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or oversights relating to a product description, product image, price, promotion, special offer or availability. In this circumstance, we have the right to amend any typographical errors, inaccuracies or oversights and to correct or update content or cancel orders at any time without prior notice. The Society makes no warranties or representations about this website or any of the content and accepts no responsibility for any loss suffered by you or anyone else in connection with the use of this website or content. The Society does not guarantee that this website will not cause damage or is free from viruses or any other defects or errors.

We exclude, to the maximum extent permitted by law, any liability which may arise as a result of the use of this website or the content contained within it. Where liability cannot be excluded, any liability incurred by The Society in relation to the use of this website or the content, is limited as provided under Australian and International Consumer Law.
